Combating Fentanyl Abuse in the Coast Region: NACADA and Reachout Centre Trust Join Forces.
In a significant move toward curbing the devastating impact of substance abuse, Reachout Centre Trust, in partnership with Nacada Kenya, has initiated a comprehensive search into the prevalence and effects of Fentanyl use on the residents of the Coast Region. Fentanyl, a highly potent synthetic opioid, has been a cause of concern due to its potential for addiction and overdose.
During a press briefing held at the County Commissioner’s office, Nacada Kenya CEO John Muteti, emphasized the urgency of the situation. He highlighted that NACADA, in collaboration with Reachout Centre Trust, has initiated a comprehensive search into the prevalence and effects of Fentanyl use on the residents of the Coast Region. Muteti emphasized the need for a multi-faceted approach to tackle this issue. The joint efforts of Nacada Kenya AND Reachout Centre Trust signify a proactive stance in understanding the dire consequences of Fentanyl abuse. By partnering with local stakeholders and authorities, we aim to create awareness, provide support and develop strategies to address this growing crisis.
This collaboration underlines the commitment of both organizations to safeguard the well-being of the community. By combining their expertise and resources, they aspire to create a safer environment and provide effective interventions for individuals struggling with substance abuse.
As the campaign gains momentum, it is crucial for individuals, communities, and relevant stakeholders to actively engage and support these initiatives. Together, we can work towards a brighter, healthier future for the Coast Region and beyond.
