Kenya Coordinating Mechanism (KCM) / Global Fund support in Kenya Visit

Reachout Centre Trust being the SR for Kenya Red Cross Society, it was a great honor to be represented by our Executive Director Taib Abdulrahman on the oversight field visit by the Kenya Coordinating Mechanism (KCM) / Global Fund support in Kenya.

It was  our pleasure to welcome the Oversight team from Kenya Coordinating Mechanism technical partners for The Global Fund ,National Government Officers, accompanied by Kenya Red Cross Society to Reachout Centre Trust office in Taita Taveta County.

Their mandate being to attract funds from The Global Fund for the HIV and AIDS, TB and Malaria programs and coordinate, monitor, evaluate and support the implementation of the Global Fund grants. It is responsible for ensuring that the Global Fund proposal is country owned and implementation is country driven.

Site visit include access to all items and documentation related to the Global Fund-financed activity, as well as discussions with key SR personnel and grant beneficiaries.

The Oversight visit aimed to establish progress made on implementation, identify challenges affecting Global Fund

implementation and recommend solutions/strategies to improve grant performance.

Other participants included; Taita Taveta County Department of Health Services Kenya Red Cross Society, HAPA KENYA , Amref Health Africa in Kenya , Hope Network and Blue Cross Amref Health Africa in Kenya
