Sister to Sister forum

On the 21st of January, Reachout Centre Trust conducted its first Female Day care with the name ‘Sister to Sister Forum’ through the OSIEA funding.
‘Sister to Sister’ is an initiative that engages the female drug users who might also be doubling up as sex workers within Mombasa County. Over time, many organizations have laid more focus on the male drug users thereby neglecting the female drug users; this initiative will therefore form a basis for the recognition of the female drug users. The female drug users experience as much problems in their lives as victims of drug addiction. As a result of the addiction behaviour, it becomes so difficult for them to observe major personal hygiene practices such as; bath, proper clothing and poor access to sexual reproductive health services among many others. This forum is aimed at finding out the most felt needs among the female drug users, laying down the possible strategies and finally implementing the best alternative to solving the issues.
SISTER TO SISTER is scheduled to take place after every three months in which the clients get to receive a health kit package which contains: 1 Sanitary pack,1 toothbrush,1 pack of toothpaste,2 panties,1 shaver ,body lotion,1 female condom, 6 pieces of male condoms and 1 sachet of powder soap.
The initiative is optimistic as it will help female drug users in Mombasa county access Sexual Reproductive health services easily.
